It’s true! In addition to Swedish and Deep Tissue, Thai Massage offers several specialty massages. One of them is Thai massage. Sometimes called Thai yoga massage, this rejuvenating experience combines compression and stretching to relax your muscles.
Be sure to wear loose, comfortable clothing to your Thai massage. When you arrive, your therapist will ask you to lie down on a mat. Rather than using oils or lotion and rubbing the muscles, your therapist will compress, pull, and stretch your body.
This style of massage generally follows designated lines (called “sen”) in the body. The legs and feet of the therapist can actually be used to position your body or limbs before certain areas are compressed or stretched. In other positions, their hands will fix the body while their feet perform the massaging.
